The warm welcome from Gail, the owner for 49 years, set the tone for a delightful stay. Situated a stone's throw away from the best beaches, shopping spots, and major highways, it was the ideal base for our family vacation.Our room exuded nostalgia with its old-school charm, impeccably clean and just the right size for us. Despite being a bit dated, the motel's amenities were spot on. The pool was a welcome respite from the summer heat, and our dog felt right at home, mirroring our relaxed atmosphere.Venturing out, we explored nearby attractions like Foxwoods Casinos and the Goodspeed Opera House, each a memorable family outing. Oakdell Motel's convenient location made these day trips a breeze.our experience at Oakdell Motel was cozy and inviting, with a personal touch that transcended typical chain hotels.
